2018 Local Hero Voting

Here's your opportunity to recognize the hard work of your favorite people, organizations, and businesses who are champions of providing farm fresh, locally-produced food and drink in Louisville and the Bluegrass region. Edible Louisville and the Bluegrass 11th annual Local Hero Awards are “people’s choice” awards, nominated and voted on by you, our readers, which makes this award all the more meaningful to the recipients.

There are seven categories: Food Artisan, Beverage Artisan, Food Retailer, Restaurant/Chef, Farmer, Food/Farming-based Non-Profit, and Farmers' Market. Simply enter the name of your nominee for each category and tell us why they are your local hero! One Hero will be chosen for the Louisville area (Jefferson County), and one for the Bluegrass region (counties surrounding Jefferson county, Frankfort and Lexington, and surrounding counties).

Thank you for recognizing your local heroes! Voting deadline is April 1, 2018. Winners will announced in an upcoming issue, and announced at the 2018-2019 Edible Communities annual publisher's meeting.

Please note: The following three -time Local Hero Award winners have been retired to the Hall of Fame and are no longer eligible for voting: Mayan Cafe, Rainbow Blossom Natural Food Markets.
