The Eddy Awards and other springtime pleasures.

Each year the Edible magazine community celebrates the top stories and imagery from all the Edible publications from the previous year with the prestigious EDDY Awards. More than 38 judges in the food world weighed in, and the results were announced at the Edible Communities conference in Nashville in January.

Four Edible Louisville & the Bluegrass articles were selected as Finalists of the seven possible categories, placing our publication in the top five titles with the most nominations (of the 91 active Edible titles in the United States and Canada)!

This outstanding performance was the result of the creative work of an incredible group of people who make the publication of Edible Louisville & the Bluegrass possible. Join me in celebrating Ann Curtis, our expert editor who guides a great stable of independent writers and photographers; Leslie Friesen, the highly creative designer of each issue since our beginning in 2010; individual writers represented above by Steve Coomes who has written numerous top-flight articles; photographers like Andy Hyslop who makes many of our stories come alive. We will work hard to help you, our Edible community of readers, continue to celebrate the pleasure of local food and beverage in 2018.

In this issue, we welcome Liz Morse of dot-dot-dash.com who created the cover illustration of this issue. Here we come 2018 EDDY Awards!
